Multifunction time delay relay with four selectable modes, 12 to 125V DC or 24 to 240V AC coil voltage, SPDT contacts rated 24 A at 240V AC, adjustable from .1 second to 100 minutes via DIP switch.
The Macromatic THR-3836U is a multifunction timing relay designed for industrial electrical control and automation systems. It provides four selectable delay functions in a single encapsulated unit. The square base mounts via screw terminals for secure wiring. This device suits engineers and technicians building or maintaining control panels that require flexible timing logic.
The relay operates across a wide input range of 12 to 125V DC and 24 to 240V AC. Contacts are rated for 24 A at 240V AC and 12 A at 125V DC. The encapsulated construction protects internal components in demanding environments. No active cooling is required for normal operation within these electrical ratings.
DIP switches select between flasher off first, flasher on 1s, single shot falling edge and watchdog functions. The timing range spans from 0.1 sec to 100 min. Buyers who need more than four timing functions or a different contact arrangement should look elsewhere. The single SPDT contact form limits each unit to one controlled circuit.

Connect the coil supply to the designated input terminals for 12 to 125V DC or 24 to 240V AC, then wire the load to the SPDT output contacts; the step often missed is setting the four DIP switches for the desired function and time range before applying power.
The internal electromechanical relay contacts are rated for 24 A at 240V AC and 12 A at 125V DC; once they reach their electrical endurance limit the entire encapsulated unit must be replaced.
The relay is rated for a continuous 24 A current; running at or above this level for long periods will cause the contact temperature to reach its design limit first.
