Compatible Toner Kit for Ricoh SP C840dn and SP C842

This four-pack supplies one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge for Ricoh Lanier Savin SP C840dn and SP C842dn printers. The cartridges replace OEM part numbers SP C840A, 821255, 821256, 821257 and 821258. They are manufactured in the USA and arrive new in sealed packaging.

Replaces Original Ricoh SP C840A Cartridges

The set directly substitutes the five listed Ricoh part numbers with a single kit containing all four colours. Page yield is rated at 43,000 pages for black and 34,000 pages for each colour cartridge under the ISO/IEC 19798 standard at five percent coverage. The jump is worthwhile when a full colour refresh is due and a lower per-page cost is preferred.

Practical Limits of Aftermarket Toner Cartridges

Yield figures follow the ISO/IEC 19798 test methodology; actual output varies with page coverage, job size and environmental conditions. Compatibility is limited to the SP C840dn and SP C842dn models listed; other Ricoh or Lanier Savin devices are not supported by this kit. Print density and colour consistency may differ from OEM supplies.

Questions about this item

Will the 821255 black cartridge fit the SP C840dn without extra brackets?

Yes, each cartridge matches the original Ricoh SP C840A form factor and slides directly into the SP C840dn or SP C842dn toner bays with no additional hardware.

What is the correct order to install the four cartridges so the printer recognises them immediately?

Open the front cover, remove each old cartridge, then insert the new black 821255, cyan 821256, magenta 821257 and yellow 821258 cartridges in that sequence, closing the cover only after all four click into place.

When should I expect to replace the black 821255 cartridge versus the colour ones?

The black cartridge is rated for 43000 pages at 5 % coverage under ISO/IEC 19798, while each colour cartridge is rated for 34000 pages under the same standard.
