Compatible Black Toner for IM C3000 and IM C3500

This two-pack of compatible black toner cartridges is manufactured in the United States for Ricoh IM C3000 and IM C3500 devices. It replaces original Ricoh toner types 842251 through 842254. The product is not suitable for models carrying the MP C prefix. Buyers needing colour toner or cartridges for other Ricoh series should look elsewhere.

Consistent yield across long print runs

Each cartridge delivers up to 31000 pages measured against the ISO/IEC 19798 standard at five percent coverage. The toner formulation is machine tested for line resolution and colour density to maintain output quality from the first page to the last. High-volume offices can rely on steady performance without the fade sometimes seen in short-run testing.

Direct drop-in installation

Cartridges are designed to fit the designated Ricoh models without modification or additional tools. The most common issue arises when the product is ordered for MP C prefixed machines, which are explicitly excluded from compatibility. Verifying the exact model number before purchase prevents returns and downtime.

Questions about this item

Does the cartridge run hot or draw extra power during long print runs?

Toner cartridges contain no heating elements or motors; heat and power draw come from the Ricoh IM C3000 or IM C3500 printer itself, not from the cartridge.

My Ricoh IM C3000 still uses the original waste-toner bottle and drum unit — do I need to replace those first?

The compatible black cartridges (842251) replace only the toner supply; the printer’s existing drum, developer and waste-toner bottle remain in place and are used until their own end-of-life counters trigger replacement.

Will these cartridges work in an older Ricoh MP C3000 that I kept as a backup?

No — the packaging states they are not for models with the MP C prefix, so the older MP C3000 is not supported.
