Compatible Magenta Toner for Kyocera

This magenta toner cartridge is a compatible replacement for Kyocera TK-897M supplies. It fits Kyocera Ecosys FS-C8520, FS-C8525, TASKalfa 205c and 255c printers as well as Copystar CS205c and CS255c models. The cartridge is manufactured in the USA and supplied new in a single pack.

Yield measured at five percent coverage

Page yield is rated at 12000 pages according to the ISO/IEC 19798 test standard. That figure assumes a consistent five percent page coverage across every printed sheet. Real-world output will drop when printing graphics, photos or dense text that exceed this coverage level.

Magenta-only cartridge requires full colour set

This unit supplies magenta toner only and cannot produce full-colour output on its own. Buyers who need complete colour printing must also have cyan, yellow and black cartridges installed. Printers that accept only monochrome supplies cannot use this cartridge.

Questions about this item

Which capacity should I choose for my Kyocera TASKalfa 255c?

This magenta cartridge delivers 12,000 pages at 5% coverage, matching the original TK-897M yield for the listed Kyocera and Copystar models.

What does the 12,000-page figure mean once the toner is in my FS-C8525MFP?

It is an ISO/IEC 19798 rating at 5% page coverage; actual yield will vary with your document mix, density settings and environmental conditions.

Does this cartridge use the standard Kyocera TK-897 interface and chip?

Yes, it is engineered as a direct replacement for Kyocera TK-897M and Copystar TK-899K, fitting the same slot and communicating with the printer's chip reader.
