All-in-One 24MP Film Scanner

The Magnasonic FS71ST01 converts 35mm, 110, 126 and Super 8 film negatives plus 135, 126 and 110 slides into 24-megapixel JPEG files. A 5-inch LCD screen lets you preview and edit images directly on the device. Internal memory of 128MB and an SD card slot supporting up to 128GB store scans without a computer. HDMI output enables viewing on a TV or monitor.

For Standalone Archiving, Not Tethered Workflows

This scanner suits anyone who wants to digitise boxes of mixed-format film and slides quickly without installing software or drivers. Brightness, RGB colour correction, flip and mirror adjustments are handled on the built-in display. It is not for users who need RAW output, batch automation, or tethered control from a PC or Mac.

24-Megapixel JPEG Capture

The single specification that decides fit is the fixed 24MP JPEG output resolution. Every scan is saved at that resolution and file type; there is no option to select a different pixel count or an uncompressed format. If your project requires higher pixel dimensions or lossless files, this unit will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the scanner generate noticeable heat or fan noise when scanning film continuously all day?

The unit weighs 1.26 lbs and has no internal fan; it runs silently and stays cool during extended scanning sessions.

What must I already own to view scans on a TV using the HDMI output?

You need an HDMI cable, which is not included, and an HDMI-compatible television or monitor.

Will my existing 35mm slide trays fit the FS71ST01, or do I need the supplied holders?

The scanner includes dedicated 35mm slide film holders; older trays are not required and may not align with the 5-second scan mechanism.
