Eight-slot smart charger with 16 AA NiMH cells

The Powerex MH-C801D charges up to eight AA or AAA cells simultaneously. Sixteen 2700 mAh NiMH batteries are included, supplied on four cards of four inside a storage case. The charger operates from 100-240 V AC input at 50 or 60 Hz.

Suits households or professionals who cycle many

Users who only charge one or two batteries occasionally will find the eight-slot capacity and 2000 mA charge rate more than they need. Buyers requiring lithium-ion or other chemistries should look elsewhere, as this unit handles NiMH only.

2000 mA charge current per slot

Each slot delivers up to 2000 mA DC at 18 V, with a secondary 100 mA output at 20 V. This rate determines how quickly the supplied 2700 mAh cells reach full capacity, so match it against your typical usage pattern before buying.

Questions about this item

How many AA batteries can the MH-C801D charge at once?

The MH-C801D has eight independent slots, so it can charge up to eight AA or AAA cells simultaneously. Each slot monitors its own cell and stops when that cell is full.

Does the charger get hot or noisy when all eight slots are used for hours?

The unit uses a fan-cooled design that runs quietly; the external power supply handles the 100-240 VAC input, so the charger itself stays cool during extended sessions.

What power source does the MH-C801D need to operate?

It ships with an external AC adapter that accepts 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and delivers 18 V DC at 2000 mA for the fast-charge slots and 20 V DC at 100 mA for the conditioning slots.
