Eight-bay LCD charger with AA batteries

The Powerex MH-C808M charges one to eight NiCd or NiMH cells in AAA, AA, C and D sizes. An intelligent microprocessor controls selectable Rapid or Soft charge modes and a low-temperature algorithm. The comprehensive LCD with white backlight shows status for every bay. Eight AccuPower AA cells rated at 2900 mAh and 1.2 Volt are included.

Installation and common issues

Connect the 100-240 VAC 50-60 Hz adapter to the 12 V DC 2000 mA input and insert cells in any of the eight bays. The charger identifies defective cells and applies negative delta V cut-off automatically. Deep conditioning runs when needed. Soft mode reduces current to 1000 mA for AA cells, which can prevent overheating in warm environments.

Pre-purchase checks

Verify that your devices accept 1.2 Volt NiMH AA cells and that you need up to eight simultaneous charge positions. The supplied adapter covers 100-240 volt mains worldwide. Ensure you have space for the eight-bay unit and that your typical cell capacities fall within the listed charge-time ranges for AA, AAA, C or D sizes.
