Eight-bay charger with AAA cells

The Powerex MH-C808M charges one to eight AAA, AA, C or D NiCd and NiMH cells simultaneously. Eight AAA AccuLoop-X batteries rated at 1100 mAh and 1.2 V are included. The unit suits households or professionals who need multiple sizes ready at once.

Charge rates and worldwide input

Rapid charge delivers 700 mA for AAA and 2000 mA for AA, C and D; soft charge halves those currents. AAA cells of 350–1200 mAh take 0.5 to 2 hours, AA 600–2900 mAh take 0.5 to 1.5 hours, C 2900–6000 mAh take 1 to 3 hours and D 3000–12000 mAh take 2 to 6 hours. The 100–240 VAC 50–60 Hz adapter works worldwide.

Microprocessor control and conditioning

An intelligent microprocessor manages negative delta V cut-off, a low-temperature algorithm and a deep conditioning cycle that can restore aged cells. Defective cells are identified on the backlit LCD. Buyers who need to charge 9 V or lithium-ion formats cannot use this charger.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the rapid or soft charge mode for the included AAA 1100 mAh batteries?

Rapid mode charges at 700 mA and finishes in about one to two hours, while soft mode uses 350 mA for a gentler fill; both suit the 1100 mAh cells.

How long will a full charge take for these 1100 mAh AAA cells in rapid mode?

Expect roughly one to two hours for the 1100 mAh AAA batteries at the 700 mA rapid rate.

What does the 100–240 VAC input mean for using the charger abroad?

The charger accepts any mains voltage from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz, so it works worldwide with only a plug adapter.
