1/18 Scale Diecast Grand National

This 1/18 scale Maisto model replicates the 1987 Buick Grand National in a black Special Edition finish. It is an officially licensed collectible aimed at adult hobbyists and enthusiasts who appreciate true-to-scale automotive detail. The model arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Diecast construction with opening features

The body is made of diecast metal supplemented by plastic parts and rides on real rubber tyres. Functional hood, doors and trunk open to reveal a detailed engine compartment, interior and cargo area. No batteries or assembly are required, so the piece integrates directly into a display cabinet or shelf.

Display dimensions and detail limits

At approximately 10.5 inches long the model offers substantial presence while fitting standard 1/18 display cases. The fixed scale means finer details such as individual wiring or instrument markings are suggested rather than fully rendered. Buyers seeking larger scales or fully opening suspension components will need a different format.

Questions about this item

How long does the diecast finish hold up under daily handling?

The model is made of diecast metal with some plastic parts and finished in a painted surface; normal collector handling preserves the finish, but repeated friction on edges can wear the paint over time.

Does the model generate any heat or noise when displayed continuously?

No, it is a static 1/18 scale diecast replica with no motor, electronics or moving mechanism, so it produces zero heat and no sound.

What additional items are needed to display the car with the hood, doors and trunk open?

The model includes functional hinges on the hood, doors and trunk, so no extra parts or tools are required to pose them open.
