Tensions and cuts nylon cable ties from .18 to .25 in wide rated at 125 to 175 lb tensile strength
The Malco TY4G is a hand-operated cable tie tensioning tool built for electricians and installers who secure bundles with nylon ties. It tensions and cuts in one motion, reducing repetitive strain during panel building, conduit runs or datacom terminations.
The tool accepts nylon cable ties from 0.18 in to 0.25 in wide with a tensile strength range of 125 lb to 175 lb. Ties outside this width or strength window will not tension correctly or may slip in the jaws, so the installer must match the tie specification to the tool range.
It comfortably handles standard intermediate and heavy-duty nylon ties used in electrical enclosures and cable management. The tool runs out of range with miniature ties below 0.18 in or extra-heavy ties above 175 lb tensile strength, which require a different tensioning tool.
