Reversible Brass Stud with Dual Threads
The Manfrotto 037 reversible short stud is machined from brass and provides both 3/8" and 1/4"-20 male threads. It plugs directly into the Super Clamp Art. 035 socket for a secure mounting point. Photographers and videographers use it to attach cameras or heads to grip equipment.
Upgrade from Single-Thread Adapters
This stud replaces fixed-thread spigots that only offer one connection size. The reversible design lets you flip between thread sizes without carrying separate adapters. The jump is worth it when you regularly switch between 3/8" heads and 1/4"-20 camera bodies on the same clamp.
Limited to Super Clamp Compatibility
The stud seats specifically in the Art. 035 Super Clamp socket and does not fit standard light-stand spigots or baby pins. It cannot be used as a standalone 1/4"-20 to 3/8" converter away from the clamp. Buyers needing a freestanding thread adapter should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
What size socket does the 037 stud plug into?
It plugs into the Super Clamp Art. 035 socket for a secure connection.
Which end threads in first when mounting a ball head flush?
Thread the 3/8" male end into the clamp so the 1/4"-20 end faces the ball head.
Will the brass threads gall if I swap heads often?
Brass resists galling better than steel, so frequent 3/8" and 1/4"-20 changes stay smooth.
