The Manfrotto 357-1 Rapid Connect Adapter paired with the 357PLV-1 sliding mounting plate lets photographers detach a camera from a head and move it to another support in seconds. Check your head and camera threads before ordering

Verify that your tripod head accepts either a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 mounting stud so the adapter locks securely. Confirm the camera base has a matching thread for the supplied screws. The anti-rotation pin requires a corresponding socket on the camera body; if your model lacks one, simply remove the pin before mounting. No other tools are needed for the swap.

Sliding plate adds 80 mm of balance travel

The 357PLV-1 plate slides 80 mm or 3.1" fore and aft, letting you centre the camera's gravity point over the head without shifting the tripod.
