Magnetic USB-C Adapter 2-Pack

This two-pack adds a magnetic quick-release tip to any USB-C port, letting you connect power, data and video with one hand. It is aimed at laptop and tablet owners who want to avoid accidental cable pulls that can drag a device off a desk. Each adapter carries 24 gold-plated pins for full alternate-mode signalling.

Installation And Common Issues

Simply press the magnetic tip into the device port until it seats; the connector snaps into place without force. The buried notch design reduces dust ingress and helps prevent short circuits, but the adapter only works if the host port supports USB-C alternate mode for video and power delivery. Ports limited to USB 2.0 or charging-only will not pass 20 Gbps data or 4K 60 Hz video.

Check Your Setup Before Ordering

Verify that your laptop, phone or tablet explicitly supports USB-C alternate mode with power delivery up to 100 W and video output at 4K 60 Hz. The adapter is rated for 20 V / 5 A maximum current, matching 96 W, 87 W, 61 W and 29 W charging profiles. Devices without alternate-mode support will not gain video or high-speed data from this accessory.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 24-pin magnetic adapter is delivering 100W charging and 20Gbps data after connecting it?

The adapter supports PD 100W fast charging and USB 3.1 Gen2x2 20Gbps data transfer. Verify power delivery by checking your device's charging indicator shows the expected wattage (e.g., 96W for MacBook Pro 16", 87W for 15", 61W for 13", 29W for MacBook). Confirm data speed via system profiler or benchmark tools showing 20Gbps link rate.

What comes in the 2-pack box and do I need to buy cables separately?

The package contains two 24-pin USB-C magnetic adapters. You will need a USB-C cable that supports PD 100W and USB 3.1 Gen2x2 20Gbps to use the adapters for charging, data, and 4K@60Hz video output.

Which adapter should I choose for a MacBook Pro 16" needing 96W charging versus a 13" model needing 61W?

Both adapters in the 2-pack are identical and support up to 100W (20V/5A) charging. They will negotiate the correct power for any compatible device — 96W for MacBook Pro 16", 87W for 15", 61W for 13", or 29W for MacBook. No version selection is needed.
