Cardioid XLR dynamic microphone with 600 ohm impedance and 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio includes built-in double pop filter and desktop stand
The MAONO PD100 is an XLR dynamic microphone with a 600 ohm impedance and 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio. Its cardioid pickup pattern and internal double-layer pop filter reduce plosives while keeping the voice front and centre. A compact metal body and included desktop stand with a 2.36 inch rod extender make it ready for a home studio or portable setup.
This microphone targets podcasters, streamers and content creators who record one voice at a time and already own an audio interface, mixer or sound card with an XLR input. It is not for buyers who need a USB connection, on-board gain control or a microphone that captures multiple people around a table.
At 600 ohm the PD100 expects a preamp that can drive a medium-impedance dynamic capsule cleanly. If your interface or mixer provides enough clean gain for that load, the microphone will deliver its rated 78 dB SNR and 60-14 kHz response. If the preamp is weaker, the signal will be too quiet or noisy.

The XLR connector is a standard metal plug rated for thousands of insertions, and the 600 ohm dynamic capsule has no phantom-power circuitry to degrade, so neither item normally requires replacement.
The 78 dB signal-to-noise ratio sets the practical noise floor, and the built-in double-layer pop filter controls plosives up to typical broadcast levels before external processing is needed.
As a passive dynamic microphone it generates no self-heat and adds zero electronic noise, while the metal body simply sits at room temperature during all-day use.
