Mortise Lockset for Handlesets

This Grade 2 mortise lockset body is designed for Marks 8 Series handleset styles including Cambridge, Crown and Georgetown. The polished brass finish suits traditional commercial or residential entrances. Supplied as a latch-only body without bolt, rocker or interior thumb turn. Intended for right-hand doors requiring vestibule function.

Vestibule Function with Latch Only

The lockset operates as an always-locked storeroom latch; the outside lever is rigid and the inside lever retracts the latch. No deadbolt or thumb turn is present, so the door remains secured from the exterior at all times. This configuration meets the needs of corridors or vestibules where free egress is required but entry is controlled by key.

Compatible with Listed Handleset Trims

The body fits the 2-1/2 inch backset and 1-1/16 by 7-5/8 inch face plate used by the specified Marks handleset families. It requires the matching exterior handleset trim and interior lever or knob to complete the assembly. Keyed-different cylinders are supplied separately for each lockset.
