Tan Oil Boards for Stenciling

Marsh oil boards measure 6 1/2 by 20 inches and come in a case of 720 sheets. The tan paperboard is oil treated to resist ink bleed and keep marks sharp. It is cut with the grain so the material stays rigid on flat or curved surfaces. Teachers and facilities staff use it for reusable lettering templates.

Oil Treatment Extends Machine Life

The oil in the board lubricates the punches every time a character is cut. This reduces wear on the stencil machine and lengthens its service interval. Sheets will not tear or pull during cutting, so each board yields clean characters from the first punch to the last. The 015 inch thickness supports repeated use without deforming.

720 Sheets Per Case Determines Project Scale

A single case provides 720 boards, which sets the maximum number of stencils you can produce before reordering. Large districts or print shops running high-volume jobs will consume a case quickly. Smaller classrooms or occasional users may find the quantity excessive for their needs. Buyers who need fewer sheets must source a smaller pack elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often will the 0.015" oil-treated boards need replacing when used for daily stencil cutting?

The oil treatment lubricates punches on every cut, extending machine life, while the 0.015" thickness resists tearing on flat or curved surfaces.

What limits continuous use when cutting large batches of 6 1/2" x 20" stencils?

Each case supplies 720 boards cut with the grain for rigidity, so the practical limit is the quantity on hand before reordering.

Does the oil coating create fumes, dust or heat during long stenciling runs?

The oil-treated paperboard is designed for clean, sharp marks without bleed-through and produces no fumes, dust or heat during operation.
