Magnesium Blade Limits On Air-Entrained Mixes

The 1/16 inch thick magnesium blade excels at smoothing standard mixes but can seal the surface too early on air-entrained concrete, trapping bleed water. It is not designed for initial strike-off or heavy material movement. The tool cannot replace a bull float for large slab leveling. Overworking the surface with this float may reduce slip resistance on exterior flatwork.
