First reading companion

The Mary Meyer Pebblesaurus Dino Soft Cloth Book is a six-inch square fabric book designed for infants and young babies. Its lightweight pages are easy for small hands to grasp and turn during storytime or independent play. The book features a Velcro closure and a soft fabric appliqué on the cover. It is intended for use at home, in the car seat, or attached to a stroller.

Durable sensory play

The cloth construction withstands repeated bending, squeezing and chewing without tearing. Crinkle paper and a built-in squeaker embedded in the pages provide consistent auditory and tactile feedback during extended handling. The materials meet or exceed US safety requirements for baby products. Machine washing on a cold gentle cycle with air drying restores the book to a hygienic condition.

Six-inch format

The book measures exactly six by six inches and contains eight soft pages. This compact size determines whether it fits a specific diaper bag pocket, car seat attachment loop or stroller tray. Buyers needing a larger storybook or a longer narrative should consider other formats.

Questions about this item

Does the crinkle paper or squeaker make enough noise to disturb a sleeping baby?

The book uses crinkle paper and a squeaker for sensory play; both are soft fabric sounds intended for close-range interaction and are not electronically amplified.

What does the Velcro closure attach to so the book stays shut in a car seat or stroller?

The Velcro closure fastens the book's own front and back covers together, keeping the 6-inch square book closed without needing any separate strap or clip.

Will the fabric applique survive repeated machine washing on a gentle cycle?

The applique is sewn onto the cloth pages and the book is designed for cold-water gentle-cycle washing with air drying, meeting US safety standards for durability.
