Handheld 2D Wired Barcode Scanner

The Master Gryphon GD4590-BK-HD is a new handheld 2D wired barcode scanner imager supplied as a USB kit. It is designed for retail, logistics and light-industrial staff who need reliable close-range capture of standard and high-density codes. The corded connection removes battery management from daily workflows.

USB Kit Installation And Common Issues

The USB kit enables plug-and-play installation on most host systems without additional driver downloads. Ensure the cable is fully seated in both the scanner and the host port to avoid intermittent reads. Misaligned aiming or damaged printed codes are the usual causes of failed scans rather than hardware faults.

Sustained-Use Behaviour Under Load

During continuous shift scanning the imager maintains consistent decode rates without the warm-up delays seen in some laser alternatives. The wired link prevents signal drop-outs that can affect wireless units in dense RF environments. Extended trigger sessions do not introduce latency spikes or require cooling pauses.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the GD4590 imager is reading 2D codes correctly after plugging in the USB cable?

Scan a test DataMatrix or QR code; the scanner beeps and the decoded text appears instantly in any open text field, confirming the imager and USB link are working.

What comes in the GD4590-BK-HD USB kit and what must I purchase separately?

The kit includes the handheld 2D imager and its USB cable; no stand, power supply or configuration software is bundled, so order those separately if required.

Which GD4590 variant should I choose for high-density 2D barcode scanning?

The HD model is built for high-density 2D codes; select this version when you need to read small DataMatrix or QR symbols reliably.
