Rectangular Steel Padlock
The Master Lock 3DLHCOM is a keyed-different mechanical push-button padlock with a rectangular steel body and a long steel shackle. It provides a traditional keyed entry solution for gates, sheds, lockers and general outdoor security where a combination dial is not preferred.
Upgrading from Combination or Short-Shackle Locks
Switching to this model makes sense when a keyed mechanism is faster to operate than a dial or when the application demands extra shackle clearance for thick hasps, chains or overlapping hardware. The long shackle and four-pin cylinder address the reach and convenience limits of shorter or combination alternatives.
Build Fit: Long Shackle Clearance and Key Management
The 2-inch shackle height and 5/8-inch width accommodate bulky attachment points without forcing a smaller lock into a tight fit. A rectangular steel body resists prying on flat surfaces, while the Master K1 keyway supports existing keyed-alike systems if the facility already uses that profile.

Questions about this item
What shackle diameter and height does the long-shackle padlock require for the hasp or chain link?
The shackle is 9/32 in. thick and 2 in. tall, so the opening must accept that diameter and provide at least 2 in. of vertical clearance.
How do you set a new code on the mechanical push-button mechanism, and what step is often missed?
Open the lock, turn the reset tool or lever inside the body until it clicks, enter the new combination, then return the tool to its original position — skipping the final return leaves the lock in reset mode.
When will the 4-pin cylinder or steel shackle need replacement?
Replace the padlock if the keyway wears enough that the key sticks or turns roughly, or if the shackle shows visible bending, corrosion or notch wear from cutting attempts.
