Lockout Padlock for Group Safety Procedures

This Master Lock 410KAS6BLU padlock uses a thermoplastic body coloured blue for quick visual identification during lockout and tagout routines. The keyed-alike cylinder allows a single key to open every lock in the set, reducing the number of keys a maintenance team must carry. Two keys are supplied with each lock along with write-on labels for on-site identification.

Thermoplastic Body With Steel Shackle

The 1 1/2 in wide body resists common industrial chemicals and will not conduct electricity, supporting safer isolation of energy sources. An open steel shackle provides 13/16 in horizontal and 1 1/2 in vertical clearance to fit a wide range of hasps, valve handles and breaker toggles. The non-removable key design prevents the key from being withdrawn while the shackle remains open, enforcing the lockout discipline.

Limits of Keyed-Alike Convenience

Because every padlock in the pack shares the same key code, the system cannot support individual accountability where each worker must hold a unique key. Facilities that require personal lock assignment or master-key hierarchies will need a differently keyed product. The standard keyway also means these locks can be opened by any other 410 series keyed-alike set using the same code.
