Cabinet spring latch for interchangeable cores
The Olympus L72V-26D is a Grade 1 zinc die-cast cabinet spring latch drawer lock finished in satin chrome. It accepts 6 or 7 pin small format interchangeable cores from Best, Arrow, Falcon, KSP or equivalent brands. The core is sold separately, letting facilities standardise on one key system across different hardware.
Reversible function with spacer kit for fit
The latch is specially designed to be reversible between lost motion and key retaining operation. Three 10-350 spacers and a 725-1 spacer are included to adjust the installation for 60 or 7 pin core lengths. A matching L78ST-1-SS lip strike and a 725-PA plastic thumbturn complete the hardware kit for a clean fit.
Included parts adapt the lock to existing systems
The supplied spacers and strike plate allow the single lock body to work with multiple core lengths and door preparations without extra sourcing. The plastic thumbturn provides a non-keyed operating option for the interior side. Buyers who need an integrated core or a different finish cannot use this model.

Questions about this item
How do I install the Olympus L72V-26D spring latch and which step is commonly missed?
Drill a 1-1/8" hole for the barrel, secure the zinc die-cast body, attach the L78ST-1-SS lip strike, and use the three 10-350 spacers to align the 1-1/4" barrel depth; the spacer step is often skipped.
What maintenance or replacement will the L72V-26D need over time?
The lock body is zinc die cast with a satin chrome finish; only the SFIC core (sold separately) may need re-keying or replacement, and the 725-PA plastic thumbturn can be swapped if it wears.
What is the first limitation that appears under heavy daily use of this cabinet latch?
The 725-PA plastic thumbturn will show wear before the Grade 1 zinc die-cast body or the satin chrome finish, especially with frequent 6 or 7 pin core operation.
