Plug Lockout for 120V and 240V AC

The Master Lock 487 is a rotating plug lockout that encases two-prong and three-prong plugs up to three inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide. It accepts one padlock with a shackle up to 9/16 inch diameter. The red thermoplastic body includes permanent safety labels in English, French and Spanish.

Sustained lockout on live circuits

The device encases the plug completely so the cord cannot be inserted into a receptacle while maintenance is performed. It is rated for 120V AC and 240V AC supplies and holds its shape under normal industrial temperatures. The single padlock point keeps the lockout secure for the duration of the work.

Slide the plug in and apply a padlock

Open the rotating cover, insert the plug, close the cover and insert a padlock through the shackle hole. The lockout fits plugs with a maximum cord diameter of 3/4 inch. If the plug body exceeds the internal dimensions or the cord is thicker than 3/4 inch, the cover will not latch.
