Twin Wheel Swivel Caster Kit

This twin wheel swivel caster kit contains five nylon casters rated for 110 lb each. The friction ring stem measures 7/16 in by 7/8 in and fits a range of carts and light equipment. Non marking wheels protect finished floors during moves.

Upgrade from single wheel casters

Twin wheels distribute weight more evenly than a single wheel of the same diameter. The jump is worth it when loads approach the 300 to 999 lb range and you need smoother swivel action under pressure. Each caster supports a 550 lb load rating for added margin.

Practical limits of the friction ring stem

The stem relies on a friction ring to stay seated so it suits applications where the caster is not subjected to heavy side thrust. Mounting height is 2 1/16 in and wheel diameter is 2 in, so ground clearance is fixed. The unfinished nylon frame may show wear in abrasive environments.

Questions about this item

What stem size fits the 7/16 in x 7/8 in caster stem on this ZORO SELECT kit?

The stem measures 7/16 inch diameter by 7/8 inch length with a friction ring, so the mounting hole must match that diameter and depth for a secure fit.

How do you install these twin-wheel swivel casters, and which step is often missed?

Press each stem into the pre-drilled hole until the friction ring seats fully; the step often missed is verifying the ring has snapped into the groove so the caster cannot pull out.

When should the nylon wheels on this 550 lb load-rated caster set be replaced?

Replace the wheels if the nylon tread shows flat spots, cracking, or if the swivel action becomes stiff, indicating bearing wear or tread degradation.
