SKU CH-W7C0-EY4VS

Right-angle RP-SMA antenna covers 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Bluetooth and Zigbee with 3 dBi gain and IP-rated waterproofing

  • Product typeAntenna
  • Product colorBlack
  • Right-angle RP-SMA plug fits tight spaces behind routers
  • 3 dBi gain extends 2.4 GHz signal reach for Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Bluetooth and Zigbee
  • Linear polarisation keeps link stable through walls
  • Operates from -40 °C to +85 °C in harsh environments
  • RoHS compliant and vibration tested to 55 Hz with 1.5 mm amplitude

Right-Angle RP-SMA Antenna

This right-angle RP-SMA antenna connects to Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Bluetooth and Zigbee devices operating in the 2.4 GHz band. Its low-profile design suits routers, modems and mobile equipment where vertical clearance is limited. The unit is supplied new and RoHS compliant.

3 dBi Gain at 2.4 GHz

The antenna delivers 3 dBi gain across the 2400 to 2483.5 MHz range with linear polarisation. This gain figure determines whether the part can extend range or improve signal quality for a specific installation. Bandwidth spans 83.5 MHz and VSWR is rated for environmental conditions.

Indoor and Outdoor Coverage

Rated for -40 °C to +85 °C operation, the waterproof housing handles outdoor mounting and industrial vibration of 10 to 55 Hz at 1.5 mm amplitude. It comfortably serves single-band 2.4 GHz links but provides no benefit for 5 GHz or 6 GHz networks.

Questions about this item

What does the 3 dBi gain mean for real-world Wi-Fi range?

The 3 dBi gain focuses signal horizontally, improving coverage on the same floor while reducing vertical reach compared with a lower-gain antenna.

What does the RP-SMA male connector limit in practice?

The RP-SMA male plug fits only RP-SMA female ports found on most consumer routers and Wi-Fi cards; it will not mate with standard SMA female sockets.

What clearance does the right-angle profile need to mount?

The right-angle bend lets the antenna sit parallel to the device, so it only needs a few centimetres of side clearance rather than vertical space above the port.
