Product identity

The Matrix MTR-2000 is an 8-channel temperature recorder built for industrial monitoring and data logging. It accepts K, J, E, T, N, S, R and B thermocouples and connects to a PC or storage device through USB and RS485 interfaces. Engineers and technicians use it for multi-point process validation and long-term environmental studies.

Capacity and headroom

Each of the eight channels can be configured with a different thermocouple type and a custom name. The unit logs up to 64 files, each holding 130000 data sets at intervals from 1 to 9999 seconds, giving a maximum recording span of 97 days at the shortest interval. Voltage isolation between channels reaches 350 V AC or DC.

Thermals, noise and power

The recorder operates from AC 85 to 265 V at 50 or 60 Hz and draws less than 10 W. It is rated for ambient temperatures of 5 to 40 °C and humidity of 20 to 80 % RH without condensation. The 5-inch IPS touch screen and 32-bit MCU with 24-bit AD converter run passively, adding no audible fan noise to the workspace.

Questions about this item

Will the MTR-2000's 8 channels accept the K-type thermocouples I already use?

Each channel supports K J E T N S R B thermocouple types independently so your existing K-type sensors will work on any channel.

How can I verify the 0.2°C basic accuracy and 0.5°C cold-junction compensation on the touchscreen after power-up?

The 5 inch IPS display shows real-time curves bar graphs and alarm lists for all 8 channels letting you confirm readings against a known reference.

Does the box include the thermocouple probes or only the recorder with USB and RS485 cables?

The unit ships with the recorder AC power cord USB and RS485 interfaces; thermocouple probes must be purchased separately.
