The bulbs fit standard GU10 twist-lock sockets only; they will not work in GU5.3 or GU24 fixtures. All smart features require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network — 5 GHz is not supported — and the bulbs must not be installed on circuits with dimmer switches because that causes flickering and unreliable operation.

Plastic and ceramic construction with twist-lock

The GU10 base locks securely into recessed downlights, track heads or surface-mounted spots with a quarter turn, so vibration from ceiling fans or slamming doors will not loosen the connection.
