Product identity

The Maxell Earset 199846 is a pair of wired earbuds with a binaural ear coupling. It delivers stereo sound through a physical cable connection and includes an inline microphone for voice calls. The unit is supplied new and carries the manufacturer part number 199846.

Suitable users

Listeners who want a simple plug-and-play audio solution for phone calls, online meetings or music playback will find this headset straightforward to use. Buyers who need wireless freedom, active noise cancellation or a detachable cable should consider other designs.

Sustained use

Because the earbuds draw power directly from the host device through the wire, there is no battery to deplete during long sessions. The lightweight binaural fit remains stable for extended wear, and the wired link avoids the latency or drop-outs that can affect wireless alternatives.

Questions about this item

What type of audio connection does the Maxell Earset 199846 use to work with my device?

The Maxell Earset 199846 is a wired earbud model, so it requires a compatible wired audio output on your device such as a standard headphone jack or an appropriate adapter.

Will these binaural earbuds play stereo sound from an older mono audio source?

The ear coupling is binaural, meaning there are separate left and right drivers; a mono source will send the same signal to both ears rather than true stereo separation.

How can I confirm the Maxell 199846 is functioning correctly after I plug it in?

Play audio and verify that sound comes from both earpieces with clear left and right channel separation, and test the inline microphone by recording a voice memo or making a call.
