Rustic pendant for modern interiors

The Maxim Mfg. Homestead 18" 2-Light Pendant combines a black metal cage with distressed wood accents to deliver a barn-inspired look suited to living rooms, dining areas or entryways. Its two-lamp design provides balanced illumination while the mixed-material frame adds texture without overwhelming the space.

Vintage filament lamps enhance the aesthetic

The open cage construction is designed to showcase exposed bulbs, and the manufacturer notes that vintage filament lamps strengthen the rustic character. No additional accessories or software are included; the fixture relies on standard lamp choices to complete the visual effect.

Suits buyers seeking industrial farmhouse style

This pendant fits projects that want a single statement piece with a warm, weathered finish. It is not suited for installations requiring integrated LEDs, dimmable drivers, smart-home connectivity or fixtures rated for damp or outdoor locations. Buyers needing adjustable colour temperature or higher lumen output should consider other options.

Questions about this item

What kind of bulbs will I need to replace in the Homestead 18" 2-Light Pendant?

The fixture uses two exposed lamps; vintage filament bulbs are recommended to match the rustic caged design and distressed wood accents.

How much open space does the 18-inch black metal framework leave for heat to escape?

The open cage design allows unrestricted airflow around both lamps, so heat dissipates freely during extended use.

Does the pendant hum or run hot when left on all day?

With no integrated ballast or driver, the fixture itself is silent and stays cool; only the chosen bulbs generate noticeable warmth.
