Pier M 1-Light 8.25" Weathered Zinc Pendant

The Maxim Mfg. 35017WZ Pier M is a single-light pendant finished in Weathered Zinc. It measures 8.25 inches wide and draws design cues from vintage wharf lighting. The all-aluminium construction suits interior spaces seeking an industrial aesthetic. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for cancer and reproductive harm.

Fits standard ceiling junction boxes

The pendant mounts to a standard ceiling junction box and requires one medium-base bulb, which is not supplied. Its compact 8.25-inch width allows placement over kitchen islands, entryways or dining tables without dominating the ceiling plane. The aluminium body keeps the fixture light for straightforward installation on typical residential wiring.

Aluminium body runs cool

The open aluminium shade lets heat dissipate naturally, so the fixture stays cool during normal operation regardless of lamp choice. No integrated fan or transformer means silent running in quiet rooms. Power draw depends entirely on the selected bulb wattage, giving the owner full control over energy use.

Questions about this item

Does the 8.25" width leave enough room for a standard ceiling box and canopy?

The fixture measures 8.25 inches wide, so it covers most standard round canopy plates and fits over a typical junction box without overhang.

Will the all-aluminium shade and weathered zinc finish stay cool and quiet during all-day operation?

The pendant uses a single bulb with no moving parts, so it runs silently and the aluminium body dissipates heat without any fan noise.

Is the 35017WZ wired for a hardwired ceiling supply, or do I need a plug-in cord and switch?

It is designed for permanent ceiling wiring; you will need a live circuit, a mounting box and a wall switch already in place.
