What this pendant is and who it suits

The Maxim Mfg. Early Electric is a single-light pendant with a 2.25" wide shade in Black and Antique Brass. It fits buyers who want a simple decorative fixture for a focused spot such as a kitchen island or reading nook. The cord uses Black fabric and the socket carries a natural Antique Brass finish. This design is not for buyers who need a multi-light cluster or a larger canopy to cover a wide junction box.

The specification that decides fit

Width is 2.25 inches, so the pendant occupies minimal horizontal space and suits tight groupings or narrow shelves. The single socket accepts optional bulbs chosen separately, letting you set brightness and colour temperature. If your project requires a broader shade or an integrated LED module, this model will not meet that need.

Behaviour under sustained use

The fabric cord and metal socket are rated for standard household operation and will not degrade during long daily runs. California Proposition 65 notices flag the presence of listed chemicals; normal handling and installation do not change that status. No moving parts or active cooling mean performance stays consistent over time.

Questions about this item

How wide is the 2.25-inch pendant once it is hung in a room?

The fixture measures 2.25 inches across, making it a narrow accent that suits tight corners or clustered arrangements.

What ceiling attachment does the 12120 model use?

It hangs from a black fabric cord connected to a metal socket finished in antique brass; multi-light versions include swag hangers but the single pendant does not.

What clearance or mounting hardware is needed for the 2.25-inch wide housing?

The pendant requires only a standard junction box and the supplied cord length; no extra brackets or extended clearance are specified for the 2.25-inch body.
