Wings 1-Light Wall Sconce

The Maxim Mfg. Wings wall sconce is a single-light fixture designed for dry indoor spaces. Its steel construction features geometric angled wings radiating from a central pin, finished in black and satin brass for a contemporary look. This decorative lighting piece suits homeowners seeking a distinctive accent for hallways or living areas.

Replaces basic flush mounts

Swapping a standard ceiling or wall light for this sconce adds sculptural depth and a warm metallic contrast. The jump is worth it when you want a fixture that acts as visual architecture rather than simple illumination. It uses one 60-watt E26 medium incandescent bulb, which is not included with the unit.

Suits dry-location accent needs

This fixture fits dry indoor rooms where a single decorative point of light is desired. Buyers needing damp-rated bathroom hardware or higher-output multi-bulb fixtures should look elsewhere. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning regarding chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What wall-box depth and screw spacing does the 11651 sconce require?

The steel backplate mounts to a standard 4-inch octagonal or round junction box using the box's 3-1/2-inch centre-to-centre mounting holes.

Which wiring step is most often missed when installing this E26 fixture?

Connect the fixture's grounding wire to the metal box's green screw before tucking conductors; skipping the ground bond is the common error.

When should the 60-watt E26 bulb be replaced in this dry-location sconce?

Replace the lamp when output drops noticeably or the filament fails; the steel housing and finish need only occasional dusting with a soft cloth.
