Solid brass mortise cylinder
The MAXTECH B112SC1-26D is a 1-1/2 inch solid brass mortise cylinder with a US26D satin chrome finish. It uses a 5 pin tumbler mechanism and comes keyed different for individual access control. The cylinder suits both indoor and outdoor door installations.
Replaces worn or mismatched cylinders
This unit fits existing mortise locks that accept a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread and a 1.360 inch (34.5 mm) face diameter. The upgrade is worth it when the original cylinder binds, loses key control or shows finish wear that exposes the base metal.
Fits standard cam mortise lock bodies
The included Standard Cam #1 engages most common mortise lock bodies without modification. Brass construction resists corrosion on exterior doors while the satin chrome finish coordinates with US26D hardware. No special tools are required beyond a standard cylinder wrench.

Questions about this item
What door thickness does the 1-1/2" cylinder length suit?
The 1-1/2" length matches doors built for that cylinder depth; verify your mortise pocket measures the same before ordering.
Which thread must the mortise housing have for this cylinder to screw in?
The housing needs a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread; start the cylinder by hand to avoid cross-threading the fine pitch.
When should the 5-pin tumbler be re-keyed or lubricated?
Re-key if key control is lost; apply dry graphite powder annually — never oil — to keep pins moving freely.
