The Maxtech B1DC-03 is a polished brass dummy mortise cylinder designed for residential and commercial doors that need a thumb-turn without a keyway. It suits installers replacing an existing cylinder on interior or exterior mortise locks where keyed entry is not required.

Thread Size and Face Diameter Limits

The cylinder uses a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread and a 1.360 (34.5mm) diameter face, so it only fits mortise lock bodies cut to those exact dimensions. Doors prepared for different thread pitches or face diameters will not accept this cylinder without modification.

Adams Rite Cam #2 Determines Fit

The supplied Adams Rite Cam #2 engages the lock mechanism, and this cam profile must match the mortise lock body already installed. If the existing lock requires a different cam shape or length, the cylinder will not operate the latch or bolt.
