Storeroom Lever Lock for Commercial Doors

This Grade 2 cylindrical lockset is built for storeroom and vestibule doors that must stay locked from the outside at all times. The outside lever remains rigid so entry is only possible with a key, while the inside lever always allows free egress. It suits wood or metal doors between 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" thick and meets ADA requirements for barrier-free access.

Mechanical Operation and Durability

The lock uses separate spring mechanisms for each lever to prevent sag and keep both handles horizontal through repeated cycles. A solid brass latchbolt with a 1/2" throw resists forced retraction, and the corrosion-treated cold-rolled steel case protects the internal parts. Lever travel is 50 degrees with a 2" clearance from the door surface, returning to within 3/8" of the door face.

Installation Fit and Cylinder Compatibility

The lock fits the standard 161 door preparation with a 2-3/4" backset and includes an ASA strike plate measuring 4-1/8" x 1-1/4". The front plate is wrought brass or bronze at 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" and adjusts for flat or beveled door edges. The cylinder accepts Schlage SC4 keyway and can be rekeyed to work with Arrow, Marks, AWI, Lori, Falcon, ASSA and most Medeco cylinders. It is non-handed and keyed different with two keys supplied.
