Host-port requirement

HDMI output only works when the host port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode; DP 1.4 hosts can reach 4K 60Hz while many DP 1.2 hosts are limited to 4K 30Hz. Check your device specification for Alt Mode and DP version before ordering because USB-C ports without video support will not drive the display.

Thermals and power
