Splits one DisplayPort signal into two HDMI displays, supporting dual 4K at 60Hz with DP 1.4 and extended desktop on Windows
The MCHOSE adapter converts a single DisplayPort 1.4 output into two HDMI ports for multi-monitor setups. It supports Windows extended and mirror modes while macOS is limited to mirror mode only. The unit transmits video unidirectionally from source to displays.
This splitter replaces the need for a second graphics output when adding a second monitor. The jump is worth it if your GPU has a spare DisplayPort 1.4 connection and you want dual 4K 60 Hz screens. DP 1.2 sources drop to 4K 30 Hz per monitor or a single 4K 60 Hz stream.
Ideal for professionals extending a Windows desktop across two 4K displays from one port. Not suitable for macOS users who need independent extended desktops. Buyers without a DisplayPort source or who require more than two screens should look at something else.

The adapter draws power directly from the DisplayPort 1.4 source so no external power supply is required.
Connect the DisplayPort plug to the graphics card first then attach both HDMI cables to the monitors.
The adapter is a passive hardware device with no firmware so it works with DP 1.4 and DP 1.2 sources without updates.
