Front-panel hub for 3.5-inch bays
The MCHOSE G-MP01CR fits a standard 3.5-inch drive bay and adds two USB-C ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one SD slot and one microSD slot. It connects to a 19-pin USB 3.0 header and a 20-pin USB 3.2 Key-A Type-E header on the motherboard and draws power from a 15-pin SATA connector. Six mounting screws are included for a secure installation. The SD card is inserted label-side down.
Desktop builders who need front USB-C and card slots
This unit suits anyone converting an unused floppy bay into modern I/O without opening the case again. It requires both a 19-pin USB 3.0 header and a 20-pin USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-E header, so systems lacking the newer header cannot use the top-speed USB-C port. Builders without any 3.5-inch bay space should look elsewhere.
20 Gbps USB-C via USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-E header
The upper USB-C port runs at up to 20 Gbps only when connected to a motherboard 20-pin Key-A Type-E header that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. Without that specific header the port will not reach its rated throughput, making the header type the single specification that decides whether this hub meets the performance need.

Questions about this item
What does the 20 Gbps headline speed mean when the reader is installed in my PC?
The upper USB-C port can reach 20 Gbps with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, while the two USB 3.0 ports and the SD and microSD slots are limited to 5 Gbps.
Which motherboard headers are required and what do they cap in practice?
You need a 20-pin USB 3.2 Type-E Key-A header and a 19-pin USB 3.0 header; the Type-E header enables the 20 Gbps port and the 19-pin header feeds the 5 Gbps ports and card slots.
What does the unit need to fit and mount in a 3.5-inch bay?
It occupies a standard 3.5-inch front bay, requires a 15-pin SATA power connector, and includes six screws for secure mounting.
