8-in-1 USB-C Hub for MacBook Pro and Windows Laptops
This hub adds HDMI video, gigabit Ethernet, card readers and multiple USB data ports through a single USB-C connection. It targets professionals who need a compact dock for presentations, wired networking and fast file transfers on MacBook Pro, XPS, iPad and other DP Alt Mode laptops.
HDMI video limited by host DisplayPort version
The HDMI port delivers 4K at 60 Hz only when the host supports DisplayPort 1.4; with DisplayPort 1.2 the output drops to 4K at 30 Hz. The USB-C port on the hub handles data only and cannot drive a display. Pass-through charging caps at 85 W, and the hub itself draws 15 W, so a 100 W charger is required to keep the laptop powered under load.
Plug-and-play with a short fixed cable
The integrated 7.48-inch cable connects directly to the host without extra leads, and the hub works on macOS 12 or newer, Windows 10 and 11, and ChromeOS without driver installation. The short tether can strain the host port if the hub hangs unsupported, and users must supply a 100 W Power Delivery charger and cable to avoid power throttling.

Questions about this item
Which MCHOSE 8-in-1 hub version should I choose?
This model provides one HDMI port, one Ethernet port, one USB-C PD input, one USB-C 10 Gbps data port, two USB-A 10 Gbps data ports, a microSD/SD card reader, and a 7.48 cm built-in USB-C cable.
What does 4K 60 Hz HDMI mean on my laptop?
You get 4K at 60 Hz when the host supports DP 1.4 Alt Mode, or 4K at 30 Hz with DP 1.2 Alt Mode; the USB-C port carries data only, not video.
What does the 10 Gbps USB-C port cap in practice?
The USB-C and both USB-A ports share a 10 Gbps bandwidth ceiling for file transfers, while the hub itself needs 15 W and passes up to 85 W PD with a 100 W charger.
