Product Identity

The Mean Well CLG-60-36 is a new 61.2W AC-DC switching power supply that delivers a constant 36V at 1.7A. It uses an aluminium enclosure rated to IP65 and IP67, making it suitable for outdoor LED road lamps and industrial control equipment.

Suitable Use Cases

This unit suits installers who need a waterproof constant-current driver for 36V LED arrays in damp or exposed locations. It is not for builders who require an ATX-form-factor supply for a desktop PC, nor for projects that demand a different output voltage or a higher wattage rating.

Deciding Specification

The fixed 36V 1.7A output at 61.2W is the single figure that determines compatibility; the load must match this voltage and current exactly for the driver to operate correctly.

Questions about this item

Does the 36 V output follow a constant-current or constant-voltage profile?

The driver operates in constant-current plus constant-voltage mode, delivering 1.7 A at 36 V up to 61.2 W.

What IP rating must the enclosure meet for outdoor LED road lamp use?

The aluminium housing is rated IP65 and IP67, so it resists dust and water jets in exposed installations.

How do you connect the AC input to avoid a reversed-line fault?

Wire the AC mains to the labelled L and N terminals inside the junction box; swapping them will prevent the unit from starting.
