1.7 Litre Electric Tea Kettle

The MegaChef MGKTL-1739 is a stainless steel kettle with a 1.7 L capacity for boiling water quickly. It operates on 110-120 V at 50/60 Hz with a power range of 900-1100 Watts. The unit is BPA free and designed for household use.

360 Degree Cordless Serving Base

The kettle sits on a 360 degree cordless base that allows lifting from any angle for cord-free serving. A removable and washable filter is fitted inside the spout. The one-button lid opener and drip-free spout simplify filling and pouring without splashes.

Boil-Dry Protection With Auto Shutoff

The kettle automatically turns off when the water reaches boiling point. Boil-dry protection cuts power if the jug is switched on without sufficient water. An on/off switch with a bright LED indicator shows the heating status during operation.

Questions about this item

How quickly does the 900-1100 watt element bring a full 1.7 litre pot to a boil?

The 900-1100 watt element heats 1.7 litres to boiling in a few minutes; the kettle then switches off automatically.

Does the kettle stay quiet and cool on the counter during a long day of repeated boiling?

The stainless body warms during operation but the handle stays cool; the boil cycle is brief so noise and heat do not build up.

What power supply must already be in place for the kettle to operate?

A standard 110-120 volt, 50/60 Hz household outlet is required; the cordless base plugs directly into it.
