Portable CD Boombox with Bluetooth

The MEGATEK CB-M25BT is a compact black boombox that plays CDs, CD-R/RW, CD-G and MP3/WMA discs. It adds digital FM radio with 30 presets, Bluetooth streaming from phones or tablets, and USB playback from FAT32 drives up to 128 GB. A 3.5 mm AUX input and headphone jack round out the connections.

Playback limits of each source

FM reception is digital only with no AM band. Bluetooth works as a receiver, so the unit cannot transmit audio to external speakers or headphones. USB playback reads MP3 and WMA files on FAT32-formatted drives up to 128 GB; other file systems or larger capacities are not supported. CD playback handles standard audio, CD-R/RW, CD-G and data discs with MP3/WMA tracks.

Setup and common issues

Power comes from the included AC adapter or four C batteries (not included); alkaline cells are recommended for best runtime. Top-loading disc access and large top-panel controls make basic operation straightforward. The most frequent issues are Bluetooth pairing failures when the source device is too far away, and USB drives not recognised because they are formatted exFAT or NTFS instead of FAT32.

Questions about this item

Which USB drive size works with the 128 GB limit for MP3/WMA playback?

Any FAT32-formatted USB drive up to 128 GB is supported; larger drives will not be recognised for music playback.

How loud and clear are the dual 3-inch speakers in a typical room?

The front-firing stereo pair delivers balanced sound suited to bedrooms, kitchens or workshops; five EQ presets let you tune bass and treble to the space.

What does the 3.5 mm AUX input actually connect?

It accepts a standard 3.5 mm cable from phones, tablets or MP3 players so their audio plays through the boombox speakers.
