Dual Reader Interface Panel

The Mercury MR52-S3 is an interface panel module designed for access control systems that require two reader ports. It supports up to two doors per controller and provides eight general-purpose inputs alongside two dedicated inputs for tamper and power monitoring. Installers and system integrators use it to expand door control in commercial security installations.

Capacity and Headroom

Six Form-C output relays handle switching loads with normally open contacts rated at 5A @ 30 VDC and normally closed contacts at 3A @ 30 VDC. Host communication runs over RS–485 two-wire twisted pair shielded cable up to 4,000 feet using Belden 9841 or equivalent. The unit draws a maximum of 550mA from a 12-24 VDC supply with ten percent tolerance. It does not suit applications needing more than two reader ports or relay counts beyond six.

Thermals, Noise and Power

Operating temperature range spans 0 to 70 degrees Celsius (32 to 158 Fahrenheit) with storage tolerance from -55 to 85 degrees Celsius. Humidity tolerance is 5 to 95 percent RH non-condensing. Primary power accepts 12 to 24 VDC at up to 550mA. The module has no moving parts, so it generates no audible noise during normal operation.
