Fuse block for midget fuses

The Mersen USM2 is a two-pole fuse block rated for 0 to 30 A at 800 V AC and 1000 V DC. It accepts midget-class fuses measuring 1-1/2 in by 13/32 in and suits electrical panels that require finger-safe protection.

DIN-rail mounting with pressure-plate terminals

The polyamide body clips onto standard DIN rail and uses pressure-plate connectors for wire sizes from 14 to 6 AWG. This layout saves panel space and leaves room for adjacent devices without needing extra clearance.

Finger-safe design with non-indicating operation

The transparent cover shields live parts during normal use and the block runs without built-in indication. Power dissipation stays within the fuse rating, so no additional cooling is required in typical installations.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum continuous current this fuse block can carry without overheating?

The block is rated for 0 to 30 A, so sustained loads up to 30 amps are within its design limit.

How much heat does the polyamide body generate during all-day operation at full load?

The polyamide body and pressure-plate connectors are sized for the 30 A rating, keeping temperature rise within UL limits for continuous duty.

Which wire gauges must the installer have on hand to use the pressure-plate terminals?

The terminals accept solid or stranded copper from 14 to 6 AWG, so wire in that range is required for a proper connection.
