Dual USB car charger

The MESMART UP-518B plugs into a 12 V to 24 V cigarette lighter socket and provides two standard USB ports with a combined 5 V, 3.1 A output. An LED indicator lights when the adapter is powered. It weighs 21 g and measures 61 mm long by 27 mm in diameter.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Drivers who need to charge two phones or a phone and a tablet at the same time will find the dual ports convenient. Buyers whose devices require more than 5 V or more than 3.1 A total current, or who need a USB-C output port, should look at a different adapter.

The deciding specification

The charger delivers a maximum of 5 V at 3.1 A shared across both USB ports; if your device needs a higher voltage or a dedicated 3 A port, this model will not meet that requirement.
