Five-in-one access methods

The Meterk fingerprint door lock provides five ways to enter: fingerprint recognition, a mobile app, IC cards, a numeric code and a mechanical backup key. An optional BIWIBON gateway adds voice control through Alexa or Google Home and enables remote locking or unlocking from anywhere. The unit fits out-opening, narrow-stile and store-front doors and measures 5.6 in x 2.75 in x 2.75 in with a black finish.

Upgrade from key-only hardware

Replacing a standard cylinder lock with this model removes the need to carry physical keys and adds biometric verification that reads a fingerprint in 0.2 seconds at a 99 percent success rate. The jump is worthwhile for households or small offices that want audit trails, time-limited codes and the ability to grant access without being on site. The lock ships new and includes one complete set.

Check door and power before ordering

Verify that the door thickness and backset match the lock dimensions and that the door swings outward on a narrow stile. The lock runs on four AAA alkaline batteries which are not included; rechargeable cells may be used but must not be charged through the Type-C emergency port. A separate BIWIBON gateway is required for any remote or voice features.

Questions about this item

What door thickness and stile width does the 5.6 in x 2.75 in x 2.75 in lock body require?

The lock fits out-opening, narrow-stile storefront doors; the housing measures 5.6 in x 2.75 in x 2.75 in, so verify your stile and backset match those dimensions before purchase.

How are the four AAA alkaline batteries installed and which orientation mistake is common?

Remove the interior cover, insert four AAA alkaline batteries matching the polarity markings; the common error is reversing one cell, which prevents the 508 DPI sensor from powering up.

When should the four AAA alkaline batteries be replaced and what indicates it?

Replace all four AAA alkaline batteries when the keypad response slows or the fingerprint sensor fails to read within the usual .2 second window; low voltage reduces the 99% recognition rate.
