What the Enviro Cloth is and who it serves

The Metra 002372 Enviro Cloth Graphite is a reusable exterior-care cloth designed for automotive surfaces. It cleans effectively using only water, removing dust, dirt and grease without chemicals or detergents. The non-toxic fibre construction makes it suitable for households that want to reduce chemical exposure while maintaining vehicle finishes.

Behaviour under sustained use

Used dry, the cloth generates static electricity that lifts fine particles and traps them so they do not resettle on paintwork. When dampened, it tackles heavier soiling and continues to perform across repeated cleaning sessions. BacLock technology allows the material to self-purify within 24 hours, keeping the cloth ready for the next task without developing odours or bacterial growth.

Practical limits of the cleaning method

The cloth measures 13.78 inches square and weighs .14109584768 pounds, so it covers a modest area per pass on larger panels. It relies entirely on water, meaning stubborn contaminants such as baked-on tar or heavy oxidation may need a dedicated solvent. Buyers who want a single-step product for every exterior contaminant will find this cloth does not replace all specialist cleaners.
