Purpose-built kit for Pioneer 8-inch receivers

The Metra 108-UN02 floating mount kit is engineered exclusively for the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX modular solutions receiver. A complete housing encases the 8-inch screen to create a floating appearance on the dashboard. The patent-pending design integrates the radio into the vehicle interior.

Fitment scope and alternatives

This kit suits owners installing the specified Pioneer 8-inch modular receiver in a compatible vehicle opening. It does not fit other Pioneer models, other brands or legacy 2-DIN chassis. Builders who need a standard DIN cage, a double-DIN frame or a brand-specific kit for a different radio should look at other accessories.

Single specification that decides compatibility

The only specification that determines whether this part works is the exact receiver model: Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX. If the radio is not that model, the housing, mounting points and floating geometry will not align. Verify the receiver model number before purchase.

It is engineered exclusively for the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX Modular Solutions Receiver and will not fit other 8-inch Pioneer radios.

How does the floating-mount design affect the position of the DMH-C5500NEX screen in the dashboard?
