3 Inch PU Wheels for Office Chairs

These 3 inch polyurethane casters use a 7/16 inch by 7/8 inch stem and arrive in a transparent set of five. They suit most standard swivel, computer, conference and gaming chairs that accept this stem size. Buyers with IKEA chairs or a 10 mm stem should look elsewhere.

Stem and Load Limits

The 11 mm by 22 mm stem fits only sockets made for that exact cross section; a 10 mm by 22 mm variant exists but is not interchangeable. The five wheel set supports up to 650 pounds total, so heavier single user loads or shared workstations may exceed the rated capacity.

Tool Free Installation Issues

Wheels press into the chair base by hand; pull the old casters out, align the new stem and push until it locks. Common problems include stems that feel loose because the socket is worn or undersized, and casters that bind if debris blocks the precision ball bearing.

Questions about this item

Which stem size should I pick for my chair?

This set uses an 11 mm by 22 mm stem — listed as 7/16-inch by 7/8-inch — which fits most standard office and gaming chairs but is not compatible with IKEA models.

What does the 650 lb rating mean for everyday use?

The complete five-wheel set is rated for a combined 650 lb, providing a strong safety margin for the chair, occupant and normal dynamic loads.

What does the 7/16-inch by 7/8-inch stem specification limit in practice?

It limits fitment to chairs that accept an 11 mm diameter by 22 mm long stem; chairs with 10 mm stems or proprietary sockets will not accept these casters.
