Universal 7/16" Stem Casters

These replacement wheels use a standard 7/16" x 7/8" stem to fit most office and task chairs. They are not compatible with IKEA seating. The gray polyurethane treads roll on hardwood, carpet, laminate and tile without marking the surface. Five casters weigh .509 pounds and ship new in the box.

Sustained 650 lb Capacity

Industrial-grade steel cores and polyurethane treads maintain their shape under the full 650 pound rating during continuous daily use. The wheels stay round and the bearings stay smooth so the chair does not develop flat spots or wobble after weeks of rolling. Quiet operation remains consistent because the materials do not harden or squeak under prolonged load.

Tool-Free Press-Fit Install

Pull the old casters out and press the new stems in by hand; no screws or tools are required. The 11 mm by 22 mm stem seats in seconds on standard sockets. The only common issue is trying to force these onto IKEA chairs, which use a different stem pattern and will not accept the universal fit.

Questions about this item

How quiet are the 3 inch polyurethane wheels when I sit at my desk all day?

The wheels use soft polyurethane and precision bearings to eliminate squeaks and friction, giving a silent glide on hardwood, laminate, tile or carpet.

What stem size must my chair already have for these casters to fit?

Your chair needs the standard 7/16" x 7/8" (11 mm x 22 mm) stem; the casters press straight in with no tools.

Will the 650 lb rated casters roll smoothly on the older hardwood floor I keep in my study?

Yes, the non-marking polyurethane tread protects hardwood from scratches while rolling smoothly under the full 650 lb capacity.
